Interview email guidance
Congratulations! You have made it to the next step in the interview process to join AWS as a Partner Trainer in the Training & Certification group. The presentation is an important part of the process to help us evaluate your skills as an instructor and how you communicate with an audience and structure/frame your thoughts in order to do so.
We ask you to create a short presentation and demo outlining the benefits of AWS, with a specific focus on Elastic Beanstalk.
Creation and delivery of the presentation:
• This interview will be an in-depth technical screen, which will assess the extent of your experience with technologies and skills. You will be speaking with a manager or member of the team that is currently working with these systems and technologies at scale. Most of our interviews are deeply technical, so expect us to ask questions to gauge your depth and breadth in a number of areas. Our goal during the call is to introduce you to our team and gauge your technical fit for Amazon Web Services.
• You should prepare the presentation as if you were delivering it to a group of developers who are interested in getting started with AWS, however your audience will actually be 2-3 of the interviewers you will meet with during your interview process, so please refrain from rescheduling if at all possible.
• You should plan to present for 30-45 minutes, however 1 hour will be scheduled to allow the interviewers to ask questions or receive clarification.
• You may design the presentation using whichever format you prefer (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.).
• You will be provided with a conference link via Amazon Chime to share your screen with the interviewers. For additional interaction, please feel free to share your video or camera with the interviewers if you like. (see attached document for instruction on how to download and use Chime.)
The presentation should include the following:
• An overview and value proposition of AWS
• An overview and value proposition of Elastic Beanstalk
• A short demo using Elastic Beanstalk. A hands-on, live demo is preferred.
